Advisor-Advisee Program

 
Advisor-Advisee System   The Advisor-Advisee System has been adapted by Ricks to cater to students in groups of heterogeneous nature. Here, twelve to fifteen students of different grade levels formed an advisee group which is assigned to an advisor. The nature of each group is such that, there is an opportunity for symbiotic relationship among the students. The focus is to develop the students through interacting with one another and with their teachers.   Master coordinators or advisors are chosen to ensure that the system works. They are to monitor, assess and evaluate progresses.   For the Advisor-Advisee system to work effectively, parents’ support or encouragement for participation in all planned activities is considered important. The system requires the commitment of students, parents, staff and their acceptance of responsibilities for its success.
